Tell New York What You Really Think.

The New York State Insurance Department is inviting comments from “regulated entities and interested” parties about the way it regulates them.

The department is responding to an executive order by asking the public  to tell it about any “existing regulations that impose unnecessary, burdensome or excessive costs, paperwork, reporting or other requirements.”

Commenters should try to quantify the burden and suggest appropriate remedies for reducing any burdens, officials say in the invitation.

Comments are due May 24.
